J. S. Bach: Andante from Violin Sonata No 2 in A-Minor BWV 1003
This is the "Andante" from the 2nd Sonata (out of six) that J. S. Bach composed between 1703 and 1720. To be honest I have had a lifetime dislike for this piece. I had Segovia's transcription in my archives and I never understood why I didn't like it... until I realized that the melody was too deep and in an awkward position for the guitar. I recently decided to re-arrange it putting the voice up an octave. Violá! Now I liked the piece!! Now it can sing and breath... I can only hope and wish for that you like it too...
It is very easy to play but extremely hard to present in an interesting (read: not boring) way. I hope I did keep you alert all the way. Bach deserves it! This arrangement can be found here: http://shop.per-olovkindgren.com/?product_tag=bwv-1003
