Jim Reid's Rigging Reel
All models were rigged by me as personal projects or tutorials.
￭ The face rig was a personal Maya project. I’m responsible for all rigging and modeling of blendshapes. The original model was supplied by Gnomon. I used widely available scripts for blendshape processing and weight map inverting, Jason Osipa’s script for setting up sticky lips, and my own single-use scripts for automating node connections.
￭ The car was modeled by TurboSquid user German Lagna and rigged by me in Maya.
￭ The wing is a Digital Tutors model and tutorial project that I rigged in Maya.
￭ The limb script is a Python project that builds a bendy limb. It takes a given joint chain and creates IK/FK joints and constraints and measure, volume holder and no-twist joints. It also imports and places modular flexiplane ribbon rigs to create bendy skinning joints.
￭ The troll character was a Gnomon Workshop model rigged in Maya. It's a work-in-progress.
