Alicja Domelid is a co-founder of Scandinavian Quinoa. She is Swedish entrepreneur and founder of the brand Ecoliving and Naturalbox. She has more than 10 years of experience working with health, fitness and organic products. Alicja is a happy and proud mother of her little son Colin. Alicja has completed a Certificate Program in Plant-Based Nutrition at T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She has a great passion for organic plant-based wholefoods.

I call myself a flexitarian that loves rawfood and superfood. Basically, it means that I eat a lot of organic vegetables, fruits and plant-based wholefood. I start every morning with a home made smoothie. My philosophy is about balance between nutrients from organic food. People tend to complicate things to much. My advice is to make sure that your food plate has lots of colours. Stay away from processed food and refined sugar. Don’t be afraid of quality carbohydrates or fruits. Apart from that it contains important micronutrients such as Magnesium, Iron, Zink and Vitamin B9 (folic acid) that is important for pregnant women.
The power of organic wholefood is the rich content of high carbohydrates, protein, fiber and micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals in its natural balance. It’s important to understand that when you eat for instance an orange your body gets fibers, micronutrients and fructose in balanced proportion. The problem with food starts when you process food or extract elements from food that changes natural balance.
Scientific research shows that, reducing the consumption of meat and balancing it up with organic plant-based wholefood, has a positive impact on health conditions related to diabetes, obesity, heart conditions and cancer. Choosing organic food means you avoid all unnecessary chemical pesticides in your body that can distort your hormones and influence your health negatively. The modern illnesses of society is mostly related to our lifestyle of food habits.
